The Vogt Development Award provides 2:1 matching funds, with up to $10,000 awarded,
to qualified applicants to assist them in hiring professional assistance to achieve
the needed milestone thus making them a viable candidate for angel investing or a
large Vogt Award in following years. Applicants will be required to specify who
will be providing professional assistance and what type of assistance they will be
providing. Eligible project costs include the provision or acquisition of professional
services that will lead to the successful achievement of a significant business milestone.
Specific eligible project costs for the Vogt Development Awards would include but are not limited to:
- Sales diagnostics
- Lead generation and prospecting strategies
- Channel and market sales analysis and strategies
- Sales pitch and presentation coaching
- Corporate messaging and positioning
- Overall business strategy; marketing strategies and plans
- Development of private placement memorandums
- Capitalization strategies
- Financial modeling
- Other specialized or accelerated services deemed critical to achieving a significant business milestone
Ineligible costs for the Vogt Development Award would include:
- Legal costs associated with establishing or incorporating your business
- Architectural, engineering and design costs
- Rental or purchase of land or buildings or any improvements or furnishings to land or buildings
- Software or office equipment
- Employee salaries
- Business valuation or appraisal fees
- Loan application/origination fees
- Fees for lobbying elected assemblies or for entertainment
